Chart modules tend to be very complex. I found a nice script (from atoyansk) and completely reworked it for Drupal 8. When loading there is even an animation.
A content type has been created by the module. You choose a content type and the field with the numbers (machine name). You can also add a little bit of information to the table.
The rest is done automatically. The y-axis and width are adjusted automatically. The title of the nodes appear at the bottom.
Another example ... (I have programmed the color of the bars that they are arbitrarily chosen by the program.)
Note ... Charts are not responsive since large amounts of information would result in unreadable text.
