One we were waiting for, especially because of the CSV possibility. It is completely different than in Drupal 7 ...
I will explain this with a detailed example. We take care of dogs when the owners are on vacation .... I have created a content type with the most diverse field types. There is also a node reference and taxonomy reference. You will see that there is also a Feeds item field if you use Feeds. This comes automatically and you do not need to create it.
First add a Feed type
We are going to import nodes in the content type 'dogs' by uploading. This import does not have te repeat itself.
Replacing existing content does not work (yet).
Do the mappng. Very important because this connects the CSV columns with the fields in the content type.
Choose the field first
set the name of the column
You can indicate with a unique field, not to create a new node if the node already exists. This does not work (yet).
Images must already be present in the folder 'files' or a subfolder. Feeds looks into these folders to find the name and then gets the ID of the file. Images have to be known by Drupal for having this ID. So you need to upload them with IMCE. FTP or CP will not work.
Multiple fields are not working on at this moment. Waiting for Tamper apparently ... Reference fields can be addressed with the name (taxonomy reference) and title (need reference). If you change the time zone to Europe, you'll be a day behind ... A better Drupal joke can not be invented.
Time to do the import. Here our file. There is some HTML in the body. When referring you should choose Full HTML if you want to see this. Beware of the reference fields. They are case-sensitive. Bank Transfer does not work ... Bank transfer works, because I have used this in my field. Data are in m / d / yyyy. The view can be different.
Go to content
Add the feed
Name it and add the file
One can reuse the importer. You can delete the imported items also
Conclusion: this dev version is promising but still waiting for Tamper and stable versions.
