Drupal has a simple system that allows you to respond to nodes. It is the 'comment' field. After inserting this field you can do some settings.
If you want anonymous users to receive an email, in response to their mail, you must make it compulsory for them to fill in contact information (email).

At the settings of the Comment Notification you also have numerous settings. At which content types should it be applied and what are the default values.
Now every user (also anonymously, if set up) still has the option to override the default values.
